What you send us

When you request a survey through the form on this site, you give us your name, email address, phone number (optional), the property location, the type of survey, and what the survey is for. If you email or call us, we receive what you choose to tell us.

How we use it

We use what you send to answer your request, scope the work, prepare a proposal, carry out the survey you engage us for, and keep our business and professional records. We do not sell or rent your information.

Who else sees it

Your request goes by email to Barak Miles and the people who handle survey requests with him, including the firm that maintains this website. We also rely on service providers to run the site, and they handle data only to provide their service:

• our web host, which stores the site and the requests sent through it;
• Cloudflare, which delivers the site and protects it from abuse;
• Amazon Web Services, which delivers the emails the form sends;
• Google, for reCAPTCHA spam protection on the form and for Google Analytics;
• Gumlet, which streams the video on the home page, and EWWW Easy IO, which delivers the site’s images.

We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the site’s servers and security tools record technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser, the pages you view and when. Google Analytics uses cookies to tell us how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and roughly where visitors are. We do not use advertising or social-media tracking cookies.

The survey form is protected by reCAPTCHA, and Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them, though the form may ask you to try again or call us.

How long we keep it

We keep survey requests and the correspondence that follows for as long as we need them to respond and for our business and professional records.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, unless we must keep it for our records or by law. Contact us using the details above and we will respond.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send. No website or email system is completely secure.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging land surveys. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
